You intend to enter and stay in the United States for 90 days or less.

ESTA, acronym of Electronic System for Travel Authorization is an automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States. Only traveller from countries eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) can apply through the system. Any traveller needs this travel authorization approval to board a carrier for travel to the United States under the VWP. ESTA system allow you through internet to require the permission. Implemented by the U. S. Government, the purpose of this system is to conduct an initial screening of passengers before opening the right to enter the United States. ESTA became mandatory January 12, 2009 to reinforce security. Travelers from countries who previously were beneficiaries of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), are now required to obtain an electronic travel authorization prior their trip to the United States. It is important to remind that all travelers should have a valid passport that can be read by special type electronic machines in order tobe authorized to travel to the United States.

As soon as you are granted the electronic travel authorization, you can travel to the United States within the Visa Waiver Program, (VWP). Although ESTA authorization is mandatory it doesn’t systematically guaranteed admission to the U. S. territory. In fact, Immediately upon arrival, you will be subject to routine inspection at the border by an immigration agent who eventually may refuse admission according to an applicable Federal law.
A refusal of travel authorization does not prevent the applicant to request a visa to travel to the U. S.

You, therefore, open yourself to administrative action that maybe taken against you or you may find yourself subject to penalty of perjury action for knowingly and intentionally making substantially false, fictive or fraudulent declaration when submitting a travel request made by you or under your name.
